ARK Performance DT-S Axleback Exhaust System Mazda Miata 1999-2003

With its straight through design, smooth perforated core, and all 304 stainless construction (even the hangers and flanges!) this is the perfect first modification for your 1999-2003, or 2004 Miata.with its large 65mm tubing (baffle removed), this exhaust also has the flow to handle any modification you might consider down the road from turbo to supercharger to full race. Notice the smoothness of the bends. No kinks, no crumples, and enough flow to handle everything. Note the canister size--this is the large diameter performance Miata exhaust that is also mild sounding. While FLOW is a matter of smooth bends and straight through design and sufficient diameter, SOUND is a matter of insulation and we use a very large canister with machine wrapped insulation so that you can have the option of high flow without waking the neighbors--even with the baffle removed. As a result, if installed on an otherwise stock Miata this exhaust is just slightly louder than stock--even with the baffle removed. And thanks to its large diameter tubing the tone is a wonderful deep burble, never a buzz, never a drone from this muffler. We went through numerous prototypes until we found exactly what we wanted on our own Miata. The quality and quantity of sound insulation and canister size will pay off if you decide to someday add a header and or supercharger.
